How to play
- Tap a room. Each tap cycles: empty → X (a mark, your pencil) → torch 🕯️ → empty again. Marking first is the habit — most of the game is ruling cells out.
- Light the castle. A torch lights every room in its row and column until a black pillar or the wall stops it. Every white room must end up lit.
- Keep torches apart. No two torches may shine on each other. A lit room can never hold a torch — mark the whole sight line X.
- Mind the numbers. A pillar with a number wants exactly that many torches on its four neighboring rooms. A "0" wants none; a "4" wants all four.
A "0" pillar: four marks, zero thought required.

Difficulties
Easy plays on a 7×7 castle where every puzzle falls to pure logic — no guessing, just the techniques below. Medium steps up to 10×10 with thinner pillars, where the chains run deeper. Puzzles are generated on your device, so the supply never runs out.
Tips
- Mark first, torch later. X’s are free and they narrow everything. A board full of marks is a board half solved.
- Chase the dark. After every torch, look for rooms that are still dark and count what could light them. One candidate means one torch.
- Play the pillars early. "0"s and "4"s decide themselves on sight; the rest is arithmetic — need minus placed equals open.
