Tango vs. LinkedIn Tango
LinkedIn made this style of puzzle popular with its daily Tango game. If you already play it, you know how to play here: the rules are the same. The difference is how much you can play, and how much the game teaches you.
What’s the same
- A 6×6 grid of suns and moons, three of each in every row and column.
- No more than two of the same symbol side by side.
- = and × signs between cells: same symbol, or opposite symbols.
- Every board has exactly one solution, and the timer rewards a quick, clean solve.
What’s different
| This site | LinkedIn Tango | |
|---|---|---|
| Account | None needed | Needs a LinkedIn account |
| How many puzzles | A daily, plus unlimited boards on demand | One daily puzzle |
On top of that, you get:
- Three difficulties in unlimited mode: Easy, Medium and Hard.
- Hints that explain themselves. Each one names a technique (Pairs, Sandwich, Balance, Link, Lookahead), outlines the cells it rests on and explains why in a sentence or two.
- A step-by-step solver that walks through any board with the same named techniques, no guessing.
- Spoiler-free sharing and challenges. Share your time, or send a friend the exact same board.
- Private stats. Streaks and best times stay in your browser.
LinkedIn’s game changes over time, so check the app for its current features. This site is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to LinkedIn.
Which should you play?
Both! Keep your LinkedIn streak going, then come here when you want more. Play a Hard board, or practise the techniques that make the daily faster.
